Objectives:

Ensure, through an efficient execution of projects, with the focus on those oriented to automation, the digital transformation of the plant towards the industry 4.0 model as per Site Master Plan.

Achieve the goals and objectives of the plant reflected in the blueprint and site master plan, which are mostly measured by key indicators in:

EHS (including mechanical integrity)

Productivity and budget control

Team

Technical reliability

Ensure that all projects assigned CAPEX and / or OPEX for the Barbastro plant are prepared and executed SAFELY within the defined deadlines and respecting scope, budget and quality agreed with the interested parties, thus contributing to the key performance indicators (KPI) described in the Blueprint

General:

Develop and implement standards and procedures for mainly technological projects (automation, industry 4.0, IT) as well as their impeccable execution

EHS/Q

Responsible for compliance with all local EHS/Q regulations and regulations as well as with the Westlake standards that apply to the assigned projects

Projects

Responsible for the delivery of assigned projects in time, cost, scope and quality agreed. The focus of the projects will be connected to electrical & automation topics, but can receive other types as well (reliability, EHS,...) depending on the site needs.

Due to the nature of the plant, the construction phase of the projects must normally be executed during the shutdown windows, currently in summer and Christmas.

Education

Engineering or equivalent. Preferred Electronic Engineering or similar.

Postgraduate specialization in Electricity / Automation / New technologies or Equivalent

Experience

Proven experience in a similar position >5 years

Industry experience >10 years (preferred)

Specific knowledge

Fully certified to carry out relevant maintenance activities e.g. licences, permits and qualifications.

Fluent English at the conversation level.

Detailed knowledge of HMI and control platforms including high-level troubleshooting of control systems and plant problems, as well as the ability to document and explain them internally and externally

Knowledge of HMI platforms such as Emerson DeltaV and PLC-based platforms (Siemens)

Ability to develop and diagnose programming at Siemens and Delta V

Advanced level of operation and maintenance of process instruments

Experience and knowledge in the operation and maintenance of process equipment typical of the chemical industry (reactors, condensers, pipes, valves, effluent treatment, storage tanks ...) and rotary (pumps, compressors, vacuum pumps ..), in all technical field (electrical / mechanical / control ...)

Experience and knowledge in equipment operating in ATEX classified areas

Ability to develop and diagnose programming at Siemens and Delta V
