The Company:
The English House, Alcaniz, is a small academy specializing in English language education.

We offer a range of courses and summer activities for students from ages 3 to adults, focusing on engaging, interactive learning methods and Cambridge exam preparation.

Our small yet fully-equipped facility offers a range of resources designed to enhance classroom learning experiences.

The Location:
Alcaniz, located in Teruel, Aragon, offers abundant nature and adventure opportunities with nearby national parks and hiking.

With a rich history and culture, living costs are affordable, with one-bedroom apartments renting for about 300 euros per month.

It is around 1.5 hours from Catalonia's beaches.

The Position:
A dedicated Director to lead our English language academy in Alcaniz. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure excellence in teaching, and drive business growth. This full-time role requires a native-level English/C2 level speaker with strong people skills and a commitment to high-quality education.

For this role, candidates must demonstrate a willingness to actively participate in and foster connections within the local community, particularly given the small-town environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and curriculum implementation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents and the community.
  • Manage class schedules and teacher training.
  • Identify new income strategies and execute marketing plans.
  • Monitor student performance and implement improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and implement necessary changes.
  • Handle customer inquiries and maintain facilities.
  • Conduct 20 hours of English classes weekly.QualificationsEU nationals or nonEU nationals with legal right to work in Spain ONLY.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Patient, customer-oriented, and adaptable.
Strong people and leadership skills.
Solid knowledge of English teaching standards.
Experience teaching English to children and giving Cambridge Exam classes.
Minimum 1 years of educational management experience.
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or previous experience).
Strong Spanish level - C1 or above.
