You will play a key role within the Drives & PLCs marketing and sales team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will perform various drives and controls applications and product development activities in support of the development, launch, maintenance, and profitability of drives and PLCs products in Spain, specifically in the North region.

This position is not graded yet as the country still hasn ́t gone through the phase 4 of Global Grading process.

Your responsibilities
  • Supporting the drives Sales and Marketing teams in the development process from project specification to launch.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (i.e. Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Research & Development, Supply Chain and Logistics) to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction, both before and after sales.
  • Assisting with the resolution of customer application issues — which may involve visiting customer sites to gather feedback.
  • Identifying new application development or enhancements and creating innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Delivering new drives, PLCs and application training to internal teams and customers.
  • Preparing reports on market, product and competitor activities for the sales and marketing team.
  • Collaborating to define marketing plans and tools, while promoting Sales activities.
  • Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • An engineering degree in electronics, automation or electrics.
  • More than one year of experience in developing applications, working as application engineer (or similar) with drives, PLCs and control panels
  • Sound knowledge of motors
  • Experience working with System integrators and/or machinery manufacturers
  • Experience in product and/or service marketing and sales strategy
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Current car license valid in Spain
