Job Description

Passionate, innovative, highly motivated professional for Corporate Communications team at P&G Iberia. Based in our Spain HQ in Alcobendas (Community of Madrid), the candidate will help support Iberian business by driving corporate reputation behind communication of innovation & sustainability, risk management and reporting of actions under supervision of Communications Director.

The role will consist of helping execution of Sci-Com and Sustainability communication strategy for Spain:

  • Execute Innovations & sustainability communication plans for P&G in Spain and Portugal.
  • Help build Company reputation through the delivery of science-based content and company messages behind our actions leveraging P&G owned channels & social media.
  • Provide technical expertise (sustainability) into joint business plans required for retailer brands.
  • Partner with governance functions on Sustainability themes to provide consultation as required based on local organization data, Non-financial disclosure report & global data.
  • Provide support to sustainability queries/consultations from press/media key stakeholders and other functions such as Brand teams, plant managers, Human Resources, and in some cases the press
  • Help support the business through risk and crisis communications management related to Corporate Sci-com teams and sustainability.
  • Partner with GPS (Global Product Stewardship), Risk Management and Scientific Communications (Sci Comm) across Europe and Global.
  • Help manage relationship with innovation and environmental sustainability stakeholders (NGO's, academy, independent parties - associations, environmental institutions, and other stakeholders).
  • Use your collaborations skills to help develop stronger programs with external organizations (such as ECOEMBES/Libera, Apadrina un Olivo) for volunteering opportunities for employees,
  • Apply to Innovation and sustainability awards.

Working under pressure is common in this role so candidates should feel comfortable with change to meet the demands of the job.

Skills

  • Superior communication: This role requires strong written and oral communication skills. Excellence in Spanish and English is a must. Portuguese is a plus
  • Digital: Social media and online communication skills.
  • Autonomy and leadership in problem solving and strategic thinking. We are looking for deep commitment to delivering results. You will focus our resources to achieve planned objectives and strategies with full accountability to meet business needs with minimum support.
  • Connection: You will need to work with a diverse mix of stakeholders relevant to the business: from media contacts to peer industries and local stakeholder contacts such as Associations (Ecoembes). Being able to see P&G through the eyes of influencers/media will help.
  • Strong interest in Media: Because you will be working on projects within Media, Employee & Executive Communications and Innovation/Sustainability, you will need to have strong knowledge and appetite for Media and public affairs to spot opportunities and deliver stories.
  • Superior collaboration and Networking: You will need to demonstrate that you are able to work with all levels in the company. You will work closely with business in Spain and Portugal, working across cultures and languages.
  • Agility: This role requires considerable agility and flexibility because of the number of projects to be managed simultaneously and by the fact that it is very dependent on current events and events that can happen from outside, issues and crises.

Job Qualifications

  • University diploma or about to obtain diploma (e.g. PhD/M.Sc./B.Sc. in bioscience, chemical engineering, environmental science or environmental engineer)
  • Experience and knowledge in multinational work in sustainability is an advantage.
  • Perfect command Spanish and English language, and ideally Portuguese.
