Role Responsibilities

The mission of this position is to deploy the corporate quality and engineering strategy in the plant and support Plant Management Team as quality and engineering representative. The person who holds this position will manage the quality and engineering department, striving for reduction of quality costs, customer satisfaction, external certifications and project execution.

The main functions are:

  • Direct, coordinate and control the activities of your Department, to guarantee compliance with the established Annual – Objective and Strategic Plans, as well as managing the team ensuring the achievement of its general and development objectives.
  • Develop and manage Quality Assurance Systems and MA involving the interested parties: production, maintenance, purchasing and engineering.
  • Manage the quality resources (quality engineers, auditors, laboratory technicians, etc.) to ensure a product flow consistent with established internal procedures, industrial standards, government regulations and specific customer requirements.
  • Control and obtain the Quality levels required by Clients and Suppliers, including of graves clients incidents.
  • Present improvement proposals aimed at achieving Quality and Cost Objectis, Collaborate intensely in the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Define the internal audit program and carrying out internal audits of the system, product, process, environment and suppliers.
  • Supervise the identification and evaluation of environmental aspects derived from our activity, as well as corresponding actions to achieve their elimination or minimization.
  • Collaborate in the Technical Studies of new parts, in regards to feasibility studies, definition of the process, design of Control tools.
  • Project management coordination.
  • Obtain PPAP green on time for the projects.
  • Analyse feasibility for new parts under development.
  • FMEA analysis and definition by part family.
  • Coordinate tooling and production equipment (assembly machines, automation...).

Qualification and Experience

  • University degree on Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
  • MBA on Quality or Business Administration will be valued.
  • At least five years of experience in a quality department on the automotive industry.
  • Three years of experience in plastic injection.
  • Three years of experience working on project management (PMP, KPI's of profit, process) as well as experience working on problem solving methodology.
  • IATF, VDA, ISO14001 Auditor.
  • Experience in Project management (PMP, KPI's of profit, process).
  • Quality core tools knowledge and experience (Problem Solving, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Control Processes, Lessons Learned).
  • Advanced level of English (C1) is a must and French will be valued.
