We are in search of an Aircraft Transitions Engineer to become part of our CAE Parc Airline Technical Services Department. Your main role will be to maintain airworthiness, reliability, and safety standards across various projects. Your tasks will include optimizing maintenance operations and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will have project assignments within our department aimed at providing efficient solutions for each of our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support during aircraft transitions, deliveries, and re-deliveries to ensure adherence to airworthiness and lease requirements.
- Manage projects with a focus on maintenance event planning and timing considerations.
- Oversee a comprehensive discrepancy list.
- Update and distribute actions as necessary.
- Coordinate pre-redelivery actions with stakeholders.
- Utilize your aviation experience and industry connections to make a significant impact within our team.
- Handle multiple projects concurrently as assigned by the Fleet Technical Management Leader.
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid technical aviation background acquired through hands-on roles in airlines, aircraft lessors, manufacturers, or maintenance organizations.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Airbus and Boeing fleets.
- Proficient in EASA/FAA Regulatory Requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of Aircraft Records, maintenance documentation, and aircraft maintenance practices, including heavy checks on aircraft and engine Shop Visits.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to simplify complex processes, draft procedures, and perform under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Expertise in the entire aircraft lifecycle, encompassing delivery, transitions, and final disposition, including selling and part-out options.
- Practical knowledge of Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) like AMOS or Trax is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of Aircraft Lease Agreements, including maintenance reserves and end-of-lease adjustments.
- Self-motivated and effective both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
