Job SummaryEl Centro de Ingles, Andujar has two vacancies for an EFL teacher with previous classroom experience. The contract will run from 10th September 2024 until 20th June 2025 with the possibility of renewing in September 2025. The successful candidates will have experience working with all age groups in a language school environment.

Andujar is a fast growing town of 40,000 inhabitants within easy travelling distance of Cordoba, Jaén and Granada.

It is a safe, friendly town set in the beautiful Sierra Morena mountain region with a national park, reservoirs, ideal walking country.

We are a serious, professional language school dedicated to teaching and teacher development situated in Andujar, in the province of Jaén, south-east Spain.

The school opened in 1988 and has a well established reputation for quality EFL teaching and exam preparation with exceptional pass rates.

The school is a member of the Andalusian Private Language Schools Association (ACEIA) which is part of the national association (FECEI).

We offer in house training, funded external training, teacher development and ongoing support from a team of dedicated teachers who offer a wealth of experience.

During the year, teachers will receive training in all areas of EFL teaching including Young Learners, exam preparation and individual exams skills training.

Teachers will also benefit from our on-going teacher support and observation programme. The successful candidate will be joining a team of ten teachers.

We teach mainly young learners and teenagers from beginner to advanced level. We prepare students for all the Cambridge University EFL exams and the Trinity College exams (GESE and ISE). Classes are small with a maximum of 12 students, graded according to age and level.

Our main school has eight bright, centrally heated and air-conditioned classrooms
All classrooms have modern furniture, a laptop/computer, projector and interactive whiteboards with E-beam.
Large teachers room, photocopier, kitchenette, water dispenser. Coffee, tea, fresh fruit and light refreshments provided at break time.

A wide selection of the latest EFL materials and itools for all ages and levels and an extensive EFL training library.

Our annex has three bright, modern classrooms with the ebeam interactive whiteboards, projector and laptops.

Previous teaching experience valued although training will be tailored to teacher's needs.
A working knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
Experience of the Cambridge and Trinity exams valued.

We employ teachers of different nationalities, members of EU countries or who are legally entitled to work in Spain and who have a C2 level of English.

We consider teacher applications based on teaching experience and the desire to develop professionally.

Since this position involves working with children, you will need to provide an International Child Protection Certificate from your country of origin and a Spanish "certificado de penales"

Salary and BenefitsPositions available:

20 contact hours + 12 hours paid preparation time.
Salary 1.390,00* euros gross. 10th September th June 2025.

19 contact hours + 10 hours paid preparation time.
Salary 1.320,00* gross. 10th September th June 2025. This contract is a maternity cover.
*These amounts are accurate to date and may rise slightly. We may be able to offer more hours in September.

Paid induction.
Full health and insurance cover (Spanish NHS and private).
Fully paid Easter, local, national and regional holidays.

Assistance with all administration (finding accommodation, registering with the Spanish NHS system and a doctor, setting up a bank account etc).

Holiday days accrued will be settled on completion of contract.

The successful candidate needs to be eligible to work in Spain in posession of an NIE/TIE or DNI card. We are unable to accept applications from non-EU candidates.
