Process Engineer (Metal Stamping)

Within ITW automotive segment - ITW EU Metal Fasteners division serves all the main European OEMs (Renault, VW, PSA, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Audi, and FIAT) and their tier suppliers with Metal fasteners (Stamped & Cold headed) totaling approximately $140M in revenues. Units include: ITW Metal Fasteners in Spain, Rivex in France, and Shakeproof in Germany. The division drives profitability by leveraging ITW business model and its innovative solutions.

Position Summary:

The Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing the production of new metal stamping products and ensuring high quality standards are met. This position requires a technical and operational understanding of industrial processes and the ability to coordinate across production-related functions. The Process Engineer will also need to have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to develop creative solutions. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop industrial production processes and workflows for new products.

Develop and maintain ERP routes and detailed industrial system documentation.

Lead and coordinate the industrialization of new products.

Assess the efficiency and efficacy of implemented industrial processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Support product engineering during new products definition, proposing innovative solutions and ensuring design for manufacturing.

Develop and implement operational strategies to meet customer requirements.

Analyze existing production processes and develop strategies for process improvement and optimization.

Monitor and analyze production data to identify and address areas of improvement.

Support other departments in troubleshooting and solving technical issues related to quality claims or industrial problems.

Stay up to date on technological innovations related to the sector.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

Engineering degree, mechanical field is a plus.

Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.

Relevant experience in a similar position within the Industrial sector (desirable automotive or metal stamping) – a proven track record of working on innovative diversified products.

Thorough knowledge of industrial process engineering and design from concept generation to production.

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Ability to plan, manage and oversee projects from start to finish.

Experience in creating & revising 2D/3D drawings (Solid Works).

Knowledge of metal materials & coatings (organic, electrolytic).

Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, lessons learned and quality tools.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues creating a result-driven, team-oriented, and company-first environment.

Understanding of project profitability to align engineering efforts with business objectives and market demands.

Critical thinking and results oriented.

Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

Creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
