What will you be doing?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee the entire production cycle of our gelato and gelato treats. This role is crucial in ensuring our products' professional and commercial production to support our business growth strategy. The successful candidate will manage the production process, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure timely delivery to our six retail locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety
Ensure the safety of the Production Team by ensuring agreed processes are followedEnsuring a clean and tidy working environment at all timesCarrying out safety auditsFeedback on machine issues/maintenanceDesigning and implementing production initiatives, policies, and procedures – right for Badiani – such as food safety, and quality standards, following legislation procedures and team methods to 5-star standardFood Hygiene
Monitoring the Critical Control PointsOverseeing the review and maintenance of all production requirementsMaintaining cleaning standardsProduction Efficiency
Scheduling daily / weekly team tasksMonitoring production speed and performanceIdentifying causes of delays and ways of improving efficiencyTraining the staff in safe and efficient means of productionOrganising production areas to optimise for specific days of productionManaging team holidays, sickness, and peaks in production demandQuality Control
Ensuring our customers receive high-quality and inspiring productsMaintaining ingredient and product specifications including recipes, allergens, and labeling - and ensuring products are compliant with food standard regulationsTeam Management
Performance reviewsRecruitmentTraining and developmentRota management Experience/Skills required:Several years of experience in the food production industry, with a track record of managing production operations.Knowledge and experience of food safety and quality control Knowledge of food production processes, including processing techniques, packaging and storing. Previous experience in supervisory or management role, demonstrating leadership capabilities and team managementRelevant gelato production experience is highly desirableBenefits:
