Junior Financial Controller are responsible for provides strategic advice, support, and services to internal business partners and external audiences and providers. Develops appropriate and effective policies, procedures and controls pertaining to financial management, accounting processes and procedures (GAAP), cash management, financial and strategic planning, tax compliance and corporate reporting functions. Manages and coordinates external financial reporting and investor relations, and will be in Madrid, Spain.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Monitor Cash Collection, identify opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor monthly and annual financial accounts according to US-GAAP and local accounting standards, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support budget & forecast processes.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Backup Finance Controller and provide Business Support to the commercial team.
  • First-Year will be deeply involved into ERP implementation and Processes Management.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Financial accounting degree or CPA certification.
  • Experience in US and SPA GAAP, Internal Control Procedures.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and deliver results while quickly adapting to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges. Experience on ERP implementation is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Mainly Excel).
  • This role required to be fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills next to being fluent in spanish.
  • Continuous improvement attitude, combined with proactive, independent and problem-solving mindset.
  • You are driving to be the best in your profession, accurate, work under pressure and strong on time management.

El trabajo/responsabilidades regularmente abarca varias familias de trabajos dentro de este grupo de trabajos. Proporciona asesoramiento estratégico, apoyo y servicios a socios comerciales internos y audiencias y proveedores externos. Desarrolla políticas, procedimientos y controles apropiados y efectivos relacionados con: gestión financiera, procesos y procedimientos contables (GAAP), gestión de efectivo, planificación financiera y estratégica, cumplimiento tributario y funciones de informes corporativos. Gestiona y coordina los informes financieros y reporting.

En este rol, un día típico se verá así:

  • Monitorear el cobros y gestion de caja, identificar oportunidades y riesgos.
  • Supervise las cuentas financieras mensuales y anuales de acuerdo con los US-GAAP y los estándares contables locales, apoyando los procesos de cierre de fin de mes y fin de año.
  • Apoyar los procesos de presupuesto y previsión.
  • Apoyar los procesos de auditoría interna y externa.
  • Respaldo del Controller Financiero y brindar Soporte de Negocios al equipo comercial.
  • El primer año estará profundamente involucrado en la implementación de ERP y la gestión de procesos

Los requisitos esenciales del trabajo incluyen:

  • El primer año estará profundamente involucrado en la implementación de ERP y la gestión de procesos.
  • Título en contabilidad financiera o certificación de CPA.
  • Experiencia en US y SPA GAAP, Procedimientos de Control Interno.
  • Capacidad para trabajar en entornos de ritmo rápido y ofrecer resultados mientras se adapta rápidamente a prioridades cambiantes y desafíos imprevistos. Se valorará experiencia en implementación de ERP.
  • Conocimientos avanzados de Microsoft Office (principalmente Excel).
  • Este rol requería hablar inglés con fluidez, con sólidas habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita, además de hablar español con fluidez.
  • Actitud de mejora continua, combinada con mentalidad proactiva, independiente y resolutiva.
