ESG Intern

Position OverviewSeeking an ESG candidate to be based in the Madrid headquarters, reporting into the ESG team. The candidate will assist in all aspects of the company ́s ESG strategy across the firm ́s products. ResponsibilitiesAssist the ESG Lead on the implementation of the firm's ESG strategy across different funds and products.
Monitor the ESG regulatory landscape for forthcoming developments.

Assess the impact of ESG developments on the firm and project manage programs to ensure it meets each ESG regulatory requirements.

Review proposals and deliverables of ESG for new investments.
Assist the Asset Management team on the engagement with borrowers for the definition of ESG roadmaps.
Review proposals and deliverables of ESG/Climate & Biodiversity/Impact due diligence for new investments.
Raise awareness and train teams on relevant ESG/Climate & Biodiversity/Impact topics.

Support the business to maintain appropriate systems, controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the firm's ongoing compliance with applicable ESG requirements.

Manage relationships with external providers on ESG matters. QualificationsPassion for the environmental transition.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Initial work experience in ESG investing (sell-side, buy-side, consulting) or in other organizations exposed to sustainability agenda.

Graduate in sustainability-related studies (e.g., environmental pillar – biology, geography, engineering etc.; social pillar – cultural anthropology, social sciences, etc.; governance pillar – law, management, political science, etc.; holistically – economics, banking, etc.) and have an interest in sustainable finance and would like to explore a career in this sector.

Fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written).Excellent written communication, presentation and influencing skills.
Great command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
