We are hiring an ITC engineer (Master degree or last year Master student) to work on the European project, 'XReco - XR Media Ecosystem' on the research and development of 3D reconstruction techniques for 3D asset aggregation and optimisation services of the new data-driven ecosystem for the media industry pursued by XReco.
Buscamos un ingeniero/a TIC (Máster o estudiante de último año de Master) para trabajar en el proyecto europeo XReco - XR Media Ecosystem' para la investigación y desarrollo de técnicas de reconstrucción 3D para los servicios de agregación de elementos y optimización para el ecosistema nuevo para la industria de los medios y orientado al contenido que persigue XReco.
HABILIDADES-CUALIFICACIONES/SKILLS-QUALIFICATIONS:

The Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes (GTI) is a research group on theory, methods, and applications of Digital Image Processing, mainly for compression and analysis.
Besides specific developments on video related topics, GTI also considers research on complete systems like visual communications, real time computer vision, and multimedia telecom applications.
Thus, GTI has developed facilities and toolkits for the design and implementation of video delivery systems and machine-learning based computer vision applications.
Currently, GTI activity focuses on immersive video communications and extended (VR, MR, AR) and shared reality applications, including deep-learning for visual computing.
GTI infrastructure includes three labs:
an immersive laboratory (ImLab) for 360VR, volumetric video and extended/shared reality, a real-time free-viewpoint video laboratory (FVV Live) endowed with linear and planar camera configurations, lightweight schemes for video acquisition, transmission, and rendering, and minimal motion to photon latency, and a complete 3DTV laboratory (3DTV Lab) endowed with a 3D acquisition system, a 3D post-production system, and several 3D displays (stereoscopic, auto- stereoscopic, and holographic).
Stemming from its activity in video compression, computer vision, extended reality, and immersive communications, the GTI team provides unique cross-area knowledge, as well as continuous attendance to relevant international conferences and standardization bodies.
El Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes (GTI) es un grupo de investigación sobre teoría, métodos y aplicaciones del Procesamiento Digital de Imágenes, principalmente para compresión y análisis.
Además de desarrollos específicos sobre temas relacionados con el video, el GTI también considera la investigación de sistemas completos como comunicaciones visuales, visión artificial en tiempo real y aplicaciones de telecomunicaciones multimedia.
Por lo tanto, el GTI ha desarrollado herramientas para el diseño e implementación de sistemas de transmisión de vídeo y aplicaciones de visión artificial basadas en aprendizaje automático.
Actualmente, la actividad del GTI se centra en comunicaciones de vídeo inmersivas y aplicaciones de realidad extendida (VR, MR, AR), incluido el aprendizaje profundo para la computación visual.
La infraestructura del GTI incluye tres laboratorios:
