📍 Location: Spain, Portugal or Poland 🏢 Client: Banking Industry 🧠 Role: Senior Data & Cloud Architect 📅 Experience: 7+ years 🎓 Education: University degree in Technology (preferably Computer Science)About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Data & Cloud Architect to join our team supporting our Banking Client in the UK. This role is critical in designing and overseeing the implementation of IT solutions that address complex business needs. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures aligned with strategic goals.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate business and technical requirements into architectural designs.Create and maintain architecture documentation (diagrams, specifications, design docs).Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.Collaborate with developers, engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.Conduct code and architecture reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.Support project teams during implementation and troubleshoot technical issues.Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance policies.Produce specifications for cloud-based or on-prem components, tiers, and interfaces.Mandatory SkillsREST fundamentals and API design (OpenAPI Specification 3.0 preferred)Strong knowledge of API standards and patternsExperience across front-end, middleware, and back-end technologiesInfrastructure, networking design, and AWS cloud architectureSoftware architecture patterns and design principlesStrategic planning and systems analysisData modeling (star/snowflake schemas), normalization, and efficient storageExperience with data structures (tables, views, stored procedures)Ability to design solutions across People, Process, and TechnologyUnderstanding of business concepts and decision-making frameworksKnowledge of transitional architectureExcellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesStrategic mindset and project management proficiencyNice to HaveExperience in solution design and API architectureKey QualitiesStrong leadership and mentoring capabilitiesCollaborative and adaptable mindsetFlexibility to respond to evolving requirementsWould you like help formatting this for LinkedIn’s job posting interface or creating a visual banner to go with it?
