Full-time, permanent role with a centrally located office in Valencia, Spain

Farmable develops the world's most user-friendly farm management app.
Globally, there are 75 million farms which grow fruits and vegetables.
Farmable was inspired by a team of Norwegian fruit farmers who experienced first-hand the lack of digitization in their daily farming operations. Founded in 2018, the company offers a mobile-first product (iOS/Android) in 10 languages to over 50,000 farms around the world.
We have made it our mission to reinvent how farmers gather, organize and use their data.
About the role:
Farmable’s product is one of the most user-friendly farm management systems available today and has been built on the feedback of hundreds of growers.
As a Senior Front-End Developer, your top 3 priorities will be to:
- Develop new user-facing features using both native apps and web apps, including the translation of designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and product managers to ensure cohesive product development.
In addition to these priorities, some time will be expected to be allocated to:
- Optimise components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Maintain code quality, its organization and automatization
About the business:
You will be joining at a very exciting time in the company’s growth. Legislative changes in Europe are driving the adoption of digital reporting starting in 2026 and Farmable is well-positioned for exponential growth in several European markets. With 500 paying customers across 40 different countries, the team has positioned the product as an affordable, easy-to-use solution for farm managers globally. You will be highly involved in driving conversion from app installs through to purchase and will be central in taking our revenue to 1M USD ARR in the coming months.
The Senior Front-End Developer will be team member #12 on our international team. Diversity is core to our success, the team is 50/50 gender balanced representing 8 different nationalities. Your ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with your cross-functional team members will be essential to unlocking opportunities within the product itself.
Qualifications we need:
- Proven experience as a Front-end Developer with at least 5 years using React Native
- Deep understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Some experience with Swift/Kotlin
- Experience with modern build pipelines and CI/CD practices
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or React Testing Library
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
Qualifications we want:
- Knowledge of server-side rendering with Next.js
- Experience with GraphQL
- Familiarity with and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Leadership experience in managing small, diverse teams or projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
Our Expectations in the first 6 months:
- Within the first week, you can take designs and start contributing to development work
- Within the first month, you will obtain a deep understanding of our product and how it creates value for farm managers
- Within 3 months, you will come with ideas for improving conversion (app install to paying subscriber)

- You understand our business strategy can come with ideas to achieve it
- You will come with suggestions for improving the processes within the developer team
