**Job Title:** Technical Artist

We are looking for a skilled Technical Artist to join our Yahtzee team in our Barcelona studio.

At Scopely, we strive to create engaging experiences that inspire play every day. We're a global team of game lovers developing, publishing, and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of players worldwide.

Our casual free-to-play mobile game, Yahtzee with buddies, is a classic board game with a new look. Our team works daily to craft captivating new experiences for our players.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement tasks in CGProg or HLSL within the built-in render pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain material components.
  • Support artists with UI implementation and tool usability.
  • Collaborate closely with art and engineering teams to optimize workflows and tools for creatives.
  • Define and promote technical best practices for content creation.
  • Own and maintain the technical aspect of in-game assets, ensuring they are gameplay-ready and performance-optimized.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the entertainment industry (mobile experience preferred).
  • Strong scripting and coding skills (e.g., Python, C#).
  • Hands-on experience with Unity.
  • Solid understanding of computer graphics fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with digital content creation tools (e.g., Blender, Photoshop, Figma).
  • Experience using version control and asset management tools (e.g., Git, Perforce).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to bridge art and engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with real-time VFX.
  • Understanding of animation pipelines.
