We are seeking a Master's Tech Career Advisor who will help students secure technology-focused roles across various sectors. This individual will report directly to the Education & Advising units.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.

Responsibilities

Your role as Associate Director, Tech Career Advisor will involve:

  • Candidate Preparation: Equip students from the IE School of Science and Technology and Master's in Digital Business & Innovation with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the recruiting process.

  • Academic Coordination: Work with the Director of Education to design and deliver Career-related Academic Content, including supervising and assigning professors.

  • Advising Management: Collaborate with the Director of Advising and Resources to oversee a team of external contractors who support student advising.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Workshops & Info Sessions: Develop and deliver sessions focused on recruitment processes for Big Data and emerging technology roles across industries.

  • Career Coaching: Guide candidates through self-assessment, research, networking, interview preparation, and job search strategies, with clear KPIs to track success.

  • Event Coordination: Plan and support technology-focused training or events, working closely with the IE School of Science and Technology and the academic team of the Master's in Digital Business & Innovation.

  • External Advisors Oversight: Under the supervision of the Director of Advising and Resources, coordinate with external Talent & Careers advisors supporting the IE School of Science and Technology and Master's in Digital Business & Innovation.

  • Special Projects: Define and complete projects related to Talent & Careers as needed.

  • Office Hours: Hold regular open office hours to provide sector-specific career advice.

  • Resource Promotion: Promote available career resources and relevant career education events.

  • Data Management: Track and report on employment information and statistics.

2. Careers Education

  • Curriculum Design: In coordination with the Director of Education, create the syllabus for the Career Success Classes for the School of Science and Technology and the Master's in Digital Business & Innovation, assigning professors as required.

  • Career Education Implementation: Coordinate the implementation of Career Education in the assigned programs, including the management of the Preprogram, Faculty Assignment, and execution of key activities, ensuring alignment with the designed curriculum and syllabus.

  • Continuous Improvement: Gather student feedback on sessions and implement changes to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Master's degree (relevant fields such as Business, Technology, or related areas preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in tech recruiting, career advising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable track record of guiding candidates through recruitment processes and/or coaching them in career development.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong presentation skills to deliver workshops and career-related sessions.
  • Familiarity with Big Data, emerging technologies, and digital business trends.
  • Ability to engage with technology-focused employers and understand their hiring needs.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships (e.g., students, faculty, employers, and external advisors).
  • Effective project and team management skills, including coordination of external contractors.
  • Strong research skills to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and roles.
  • Passion for student development and career success.
  • High level of initiative, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced academic environment.
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and diverse student populations.
