We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated person to support our HR Services team, which serves over 4,400 employees and managers across 16 European countries through HR and payroll operations/administration, in close collaboration with outsourced payroll vendors and partners throughout Agilent. This position is part of the Europe HR Services team, consisting of 15 on-site or remote team members.

This position is a 6-month contract

The HR Admin and Payroll Specialist works with partners and vendors to ensure accurate, complete, timely, and compliant delivery of pay and related internal and external reporting across France.

Other responsibilities include:

  1. Processing monthly payrolls in accordance with the payroll cycle.
  2. Ensuring Payroll & HR administration activities stay aligned with company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and statutory requirements across multiple countries.
  3. Preparing and providing monthly payroll instructions to external payroll providers, monitoring results, and validating accuracy.
  4. Coordinating taxes, social charges, pensions, and insurance payments.
  5. Managing complex problem resolution with partners in HR, Finance, IT, and vendors.
  6. Developing strong working relationships with external payroll vendors and internal departments.
  7. Managing vendor relationships and service level agreements.
  8. Conducting payroll audits to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources and/or Finance preferred.
  • Typically, 2+ years of experience in a payroll specialist role.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French is required.
  • Expertise in payroll and HR processes and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Ability to troubleshoot customer inquiries and work within tight deadlines. Capable of supporting HR managers in France.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

This is a hybrid position — Mondays and Fridays offer the possibility to work from home.
