Research Assistant in Economics

Research Assistant (RA) will work independently and in collaboration with IESE Professors in research projects in the areas of economics, finance, and marketing. The RA will have 1 weekly meeting and energetic interactions with IESE Professors. The RA is not expected to be an expert in all areas but will receive regular guidance and training from the Professor.
Broadly, the candidate should be interested in working in: analyzing big data, online and social platforms, working with leading retailers in Europe, machine learning packages, econometric tools, GEO location data, and consumer behavior experiments.
The candidate should enjoy writing in English, as many projects are more intensive in writing and less intensive in computer programming.
The research is expected to be published in leading academic journals, providing the RA with first-hand experience working from start to finish on academic projects.
Requirements:- Degree in Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, or Computer Science. Students doing or finishing a Master's degree and planning to pursue a PhD are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Experience with Stata and/or R and/or Python. Excellent knowledge in at least one of those is required.
- Candidates interested in obtaining a PhD in Economics, Finance, Business, or Marketing are encouraged to apply. Please mention this in the letter
- Experience with data analysis, econometric analysis, and machine learning is a PLUS.
- Work permit in Spain.
- High level of spoken and written English.
Part-time (915€ month before tax)
