As a Senior QA Engineer, you play a crucial role in shaping our digital banking platform by focusing on delivering top-notch quality. Your dedication to ensuring product quality impresses both your team and key stakeholders. As a quality advocate, you champion quality within the team in alignment with the QA Guild, guaranteeing that top-notch solutions are delivered throughout the entire product, subsystem, or project development cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create the initial test strategy for the product, subsystem, or project based on the overall Test Strategy from QA Guild.
  • Present and justify the test strategy and decisions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute manual and automated tests covering functional and non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
  • Conduct testing for functionality and systems using various methodologies and test levels.
  • Ensure automation testing aligns with standard tools and languages introduced by the QA Guild.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, working closely with the product owner and team members.
  • Engage in discussions with clients, stakeholders, and the team, leveraging test evidence and reporting to enhance the QA process.
  • Maintain a strong testing and DevOps mindset to effectively work with tools in different environments and CI/CD.
  • Contribute to internal QA goals, assist in candidate selection for QA roles, and mentor new hires.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of QA experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or related field.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Knowledge & Application:

  • Perform at a high level within the team, sharing knowledge with peers and support channels.
  • Expertise in multiple programming languages, especially those used internally for creating automated test cases.
  • Advanced understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Engage in technical improvements related to QA.
  • Contribute to Test Strategy formulation and test design.
  • Design comprehensive test cases to cover various scenarios and error cases.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and advancements.
  • Advocate for product readiness and NFRs.
  • Support performance testing and security vulnerability identification.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, support other team members, and share knowledge.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute test scenarios based on risk and expectations.
  • Review tasks critically and ensure proper sizing for testing activities.
  • Engage in collaboration and problem-solving sessions throughout the SDLC.

Complexity & Problem Solving:

  • Provide feedback for product improvement and propose enhancements to testing processes.

Collaboration & Interaction:

  • Engage in product support, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing within the team and guild.
  • Support junior QAs, interact with stakeholders, and proactively address implementation issues.
