Worldsensing products have been pioneering the industrial IoT since 2008. We're looking for an outstanding Firmware Engineer to join the Engineering team in our Barcelona office.

About Worldsensing


Founded in 2008, Worldsensing works with more than 200 engineering service providers worldwide to help them improve geotechnical, geospatial and structural monitoring in mining, construction, rail and critical infrastructure management.

We're looking for an experienced, energetic Firmware Engineer to take Loadsensing to the next level.

**The Mission: Analysis, design and implementation of low power IoT products.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding Worldsensing products to be able to define the engineering specs

Requirements:

Skills

Must:

  • Proficient in C
  • At least 4 years of experience in developing firmware
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language
  • Willing to do analysis design and implementation
  • Be able to understand schematics and other hardware artifacts
  • Have developed a product with versioncontrol systems and easeofmaintenance
  • Speak/read/write technical English
  • Be technically proactive
  • Be skilled using GNU Linux and network programming (sockets, protocols, servers,)
  • Understand interprocess communication techniques (semaphores, queues, shared memory,)

Should:

  • At least 1 year of RTOS experience
  • Pay special attention to code maintainability
  • Unit testing / continuous integration / log / profiling / etc.
  • Be a proactive team player

Could:

  • Know about Scrum organization method
