The organization

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group stands out as the esteemed owner and manager of some of the world's most prestigious hotels and resorts. Presently, the Group runs 41 hotels with over 11,000 rooms in 25 countries, spanning significant business and leisure hubs.

The Establishment

Gilles & Boissier, renowned designers from Paris, have crafted an elegant residential layout for the 100 rooms and 53 suites, which include distinctive specialty suites influenced by the hotel's historical ties to the city, Spanish art, and culture.

Through a remarkable and detailed renovation that pays homage to César Ritz's innovative spirit, as well as a prime central location, five restaurants and bars overseen by a top Spanish chef, and exceptional recreational and well-being amenities, Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid promises to be the city's ultimate luxury destination.

Responsibilities

  • Have a solid grasp of the outlet's concept and food/beverage offerings to effectively communicate these to guests.
  • Ensure consistent mise en place completion between shifts and during service to ensure efficient operations, which includes cleaning tasks and equipment preparation.
  • Capable of using the point-of-sale system to process orders accurately.
  • Effectively promote additional services and products to guests, enhancing their experience while boosting revenue.
  • Handle billing tasks in line with hotel norms and cashiering policies.
  • Maintain all outlet equipment in good condition by handling utensils appropriately and fulfilling assigned duties.
  • Assist in stocking up on necessary supplies like linen, beverages, and dry goods and organizing them accordingly.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks delegated by the restaurant manager.
  • Create memorable experiences for restaurant guests through thoughtful gestures and actions.

Requirements

  • Preferably possess a degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management.
  • Prior experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant known for its top-tier service is preferable.
  • At least 1 year of experience serving in a Michelin-starred eatery or a five-star hotel.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp guest requirements and provide excellent customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer operations is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is essential, proficiency in other languages is a plus.
