Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable cloud architectures on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Managing and optimizing cloud services, including storage, databases, networking, and computing services.
- Automating deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes using tools like Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.
- Collaborating with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud systems with the existing infrastructure.
- Implementing and upholding cloud security practices, including access control, data encryption, and security monitoring.
- Researching and assessing new cloud technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the infrastructure.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborating with technical teams to integrate AWS-based cloud systems effectively with the infrastructure.
- Implementing and maintaining AWS security practices such as configuring security groups, IAM roles and policies, and conducting security audits.
- Evaluating and recommending AWS best practices and services to optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting AWS-based cloud infrastructure issues.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a Cloud Engineer or similar role, preferably with experience in AWS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Familiarity with containers, container orchestration using Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Scripting knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience in deployment automation.
- Ability to design scalable, high-performance infrastructure architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
- Interest in gaming is a valuable asset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering focusing on cloud environments, especially AWS and Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with expertise in designing and optimizing data workflows for efficiency and scalability.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Certifications in AWS and Azure (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and real-time data processing tools such as Kafka and Stream Analytics.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and platforms.
