About the Client

My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe and sustainable air travel.


With around 2,500 customers, their solutions drive operational efficiencies at more than 1,000 airports while delivering the promise of the connected aircraft to customers of 18,000 aircraft globally.

They also provide technology solutions that help more than 60 governments strike the balance of secure borders and seamless travel.

Their communications network connects every corner of the globe and bridges 60% of the air transport community's data exchange.

About the Role


As the Air Transport Industry (ATI) recovers from the COVID crisis, creating new opportunities for all ATI stakeholders, my client has the chance to transform its ways of working, adopt a growth mindset and embark on an inspiring and rewarding journey.

As such, they are launching the RiSE (internal) program, aimed at structuring and driving this journey.

Their clear ambition with RiSE is to build on their market leadership and accelerate growth since we live in a new, faster world.


  • RiSE consists of 12 workstreams tackling both shortterm goals and longerterm 2026 ambitions of going back to a $2B company. A dynamic central program management approach, with prioritization mechanism to add/modify/remove workstreams, will ensure company focus. Each workstream benefits from a taskforce approach, with single accountability and directly responsible individual, along with change ambassadors.
  • Of these 12 workstreams, one tackles a new business model to develop: Community Business Services (CBS).

Introduction to Community Business Services

  • The Community Business Services stream intends to start business ventures with our customers (eg airlines, airports, Air Navigation Service Providers
  • ANSPs, etc.). The type of business venture is most likely to be joint venture, but to be discussed and confirmed.
  • The projected roles & responsibilities within these business ventures are:
  • (potentially) provide the sales channel
  • The customerpartner to provide the staff & operational processes
  • Therefore, the market offering of this +Partner business venture would consist of complete turnkey services, to tackle full business outsourcing opportunities.
  • So far, they have selected the following initial themes for such services:
  • Airline Operations Control Centre: coordinate and execute network (flight) operations to provide best possible flight schedule.
  • Airport Operations Command Centre: control and coordination of an airport's airside operations from a centralized location bringing about Real Time situational awareness to achieve airport collaboration decisionmaking compliancy.
  • Total Airport Management: single platform for control and coordination of an airport's landside, terminal and airside activities with full information exchange resulting in Real Time analysis that will enhance collaborative decision making.
What we are looking for


The role is a central role fully assigned to the support of Community Business Services, reporting to the Head of this Corporate initiative.


As product marketing manager, the person will provide marketing leadership and support in the identification, planning and implementation of portfolio marketing strategies that address the entire life cycle of the new CBS initiative.


The role includes the following activities:

  • Review and set key priorities for the CBS initiative to focus on areas which will help the company reach its business targets via market analysis, identified demand and industry trend data and in combination with SITA's current portfolio.
  • Define the CBS value proposition for partners and customers, increase the competitive market position and customer perception of this new service by assessing and repositioning elements based upon market trend information and marketing intelligence.
  • Establish and drive marketing plans & partners/customers outreach plans, in order for the company to create a pipeline of partners and customers for the CBS, working closely with the various Business Units and GEOs sales teams.
  • Establish proper governance to manage partners/customers pipeline (lead generation, prospect nurturing plan, customer outreach plan and storytelling, etc.)
  • Provide input to the CBS business plan, develop market communication contents for CBS including creation of internal/external CBS presentations (eg generic presentations, custom partner presentations, presentations to board, etc.)

Skills and qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a significant product marketing function is a requirement, developing value propositions during early phases of new product development.
  • Project management experience, ideally managing marketing & sales campaigns.
  • Bachelor's degree with appropriate postgraduate qualification and/or MBA.
