To mitigate the risk in investing in a new build, we have an array of accelerators at our disposal, including our Aeron-based, battle-tested platform Hydra.


The Role:


Reporting into the CFO, we are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to manage a finance team operating within a Financial Services Technology organisation.


You will undertake all aspects of financial control and management across an international group of entities based in N.America and Europe.

You will have experience operating within a fast-paced environment, preferably within a consulting business.

You would be self-sufficient and particularly conversant with time and materials and fixed priced contract and payment structures.


The role will operate closely with the business to facilitate stakeholder information requirements, maintain standards, manage risks, and drive accurate and timely reporting.


Main duties:

  • Manage accounting operations across an international group of entities based within N. America and Europe.
  • Drive development of bestinclass processes concerned with all aspects of financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for each business entity.
  • Be responsible for monthend and yearend close processes.
  • Prepare accurate monthly forecasting information.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop, document, and maintain business processes and accounting policies to support and strengthen internal controls.
  • Leadership of a finance team in London and Barcelona, drawing on other local resources to support the activities of the team.

Skills Experience:

  • Recognised professional finance qualification e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • 510 years of postqualified experience.
  • Be a selfstarter with the confidence to deal appropriately with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, in particular, FRS 10
  • Working knowledge of US/UK taxation.
  • Experience driving forward and managing monthend/yearend close processes.
  • Excellent accounting software user and systems integration/development experience.
