This site is labeled an Innovation Plant within Corbion, meaning that this is often the first location to produce new products and implement new technologies.

As a
Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for timely and complete product delivery to the customer. You handle all operational activities related to distribution and import/export activities. within the applicable laws and regulations.

  • Prepare transport orders and coordination with carriers including complaints registration and followup
  • Various administrative (logistics and invoicing) activities and documentation in the field of planning and logistics
Most of logistics activities are outsourced but are coordinated by the logistics coordinator. You will be the interface between internal customers like customer service, quality and planning, warehouses and logistics carriers. Therefore you should be able to communicate on different levels and be able to switch tasks easily. This job can be described as an administrative logistics role. Managing changes and take notice of all kind of exceptions will be your daily routine. No working day will be the same. You will always have stuff to tell when having dinner at home.


You are part of a team of 4 logistics coordinators based in Montmeló and you report to the Logistics Team Lead.


Responsibilities

  • Processing and handling of customer orders and intercompany import/export orders
  • Timely and correct allocation of the orders in accordance with customer's requirements
  • Monitor order process
  • Confirming booking/order and advising the Customer Service department in case of abnormalities in the delivery process.
  • Entering and maintaining customer data in automated system
  • Make sure documents are according customer requirements.
  • Organizing transport and logistics with service providers both for export and import
  • Obtaining specific transport rates.
  • Coordinate and plan with logistics service providers (carriers and warehouse) the transport of the goods and monitoring the progress.
  • Entering and maintaining transport data in automated system.
  • Make sure documents are according international applicable standards regarding customs, transport and transport security.
  • Customs clearance process and documents
  • Handling of customer and vendor incidents & complaints, which essentially means:
  • Administration of complaint and customer/vendor information in automated system
  • Ensure Supply Chain/Logistics corrective actions related to customer/vendor complaints
  • Together with QA, keep track of complaints to its closure.
  • Generate all necessary and applicable documentation (B/L, Packing list, CoA, Invoices; Certificates of origin, health certificates, specific labels, etc.) for the shipment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Trade
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position (International Logistics)
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English, both in speech and writing
