Joining AgileEngine, you will:
- Collaborate closely with our internal team and external partners to ensure seamless migrations to WordPress;
- Lead the development and integration of new features for our WordPress platform following our post-launch roadmap;
- Guide the platform architecture and enforce best practices;
- Ensure high performance and availability while managing all technical aspects of the CMS;
- Offer feedback and recommendations to the team;
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to our internal engineering teams, assisting in enhancing their skills in WordPress development.
Requirements:
- 4-6+ years of practical experience in similar roles;
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress and PHP fundamentals with a solid project portfolio;
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities, capacity to prioritize multiple tasks, and dedication to high-quality development standards;
- Understanding of WordPress RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML);
- Familiarity with contemporary JavaScript (e.g., ESNext and JSX) and expertise in building custom blocks for the Block Editor using and React;
- Prior experience supporting high-traffic enterprise websites;
- Experience in optimizing application performance;
- Proficiency in working with a local development environment, including debugging and testing;
- Sound understanding of code versioning tools. (Git is utilized);
- Upper-intermediate level of English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WordPress VIP hosting infrastructure;
- Knowledge of decoupled or headless WordPress implementations using RESTful or GraphQL APIs;
- Experience with GraphQL and advanced API development practices;
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and ;
- Understanding of modern deployment practices utilizing CI/CD pipelines;
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services;
- Leadership and mentoring experience;
- Active involvement in the WordPress community (e.g., contributions to open-source projects, events, etc);
- Background in digital media.
