We are currently seeking a Threat Researcher to join our Analysis and Research team in EMEA.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing threat indicators present in the Domain Name System (DNS), as well as detecting, blocking, and monitoring DNS-based infrastructure actors.

The ideal candidate is an experienced intelligence or threat researcher with a solid understanding of DNS, a penchant for coding to develop customer-friendly features, and a passion for analyzing malware and malicious content to create effective detectors.

If you possess strong logic, correlation, analytical, communication, and technical skills, alongside a thirst for continuous learning and a thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, you will be a great fit for our team.


What you'll do:
• Discover and analyze threats related to DNS
• Develop algorithms to provide indicators for customer network protection
• Contribute workflows, algorithms, and enrichments to assist customers in threat prioritization
• Research, design, and implement repeatable analytics, heuristics, and rules-based detection strategies
• Collaborate with diverse experts to solve complex threat issues
• Generate reports on discoveries like threat actors, malware, and campaigns

What you'll bring:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with AWS technologies, Python, and Command Line Interface
• Knowledge of threat analysis, research, and statistical analysis
• Coding and data skills including Python, data analysis, statistics, and use of notebooks (Jupyter, Databricks)

Success indicators:
After six months:
• Develop new algorithms for identifying suspicious indicators
• Contribute to research and publication projects
• Gain comprehensive understanding of data sources, pipelines, tools, and techniques
After about a year:
• Collaborate on threat research projects
• Enhance research and prototyping abilities to enhance customer protection
• Utilize data sources to create new analytics in threat intelligence
