We are looking for a
Strategic Sales Director for Iberia .

In this role you will become part of our management team reporting directly to the General Manager of Spain and Portugal, responsible for expanding Emerson's cross Business Units activity, building relationships with both new and existing customers, core industries, sustainability and decarbonization business, top projects, key accounts and EPCs in Spain and Portugal.


The way to commercialize requires having a strong visibility in key Automation Companies to ensure our position in the traditional industrial sectors and in the growing new sectors.

Likewise, we must improve excellence and be more efficient in the local market as well as lead all the multidivisional initiatives that we have for the next few years in a more coordinated way.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Provide focus and guidance to our sales organization to identify commercializing strategies and opportunities to enable growth with the highest profitability for the BU's and all Iberian business leading the Strategic Sales Team in country.
  • Lead all cross Business Units activities in top accounts, industries, EPC's and key projects for Iberia to understand and define longrange project investments.
  • Act as transversal contact point for nominated enduser accounts, supervise and report on progress against the Corporate Account Plan to increase orders and profits.
  • Develop longterm relationships with senior management within customer accounts to ensure awareness of the capabilities of Emerson, making the most of both facetoface meetings and highlevel relationships with customers in strategic accounts segment including relevant social relationship within agreed company guidelines.
  • Participate in contracts negotiations with accounts' management.
  • Actively visit customers to promote Emerson solutions, entire product portfolio and services, improving their satisfaction by finding solutions to their needs.
  • Seek new opportunities to sell assigned products and services to customers.
  • Prepare an annual booking budget in coordination with the Business Unit leaders in country.
  • Provide timely report on customer requirements, bookings status, competition, and market trends.
  • Understand customer business drivers and demonstrate linkage between recommended products/solutions to customer's needs and business objectives.
  • Recommend price models and framework that fits the future business outlook and enables Emerson to capture maximum orders and profitability from the account and facilitate the formation of agreements by discerning the win/win for both parties.
  • Participate in customer development activities as trade shows, fairs, conferences aiming to promote the sale of products, solutions, and services to key accounts.
  • Support and drive Emerson internal programs.
  • Behave ethically in all business dealings. Ensure all Emerson ethics policies and processes are embedded in day to day.
  • Ensure that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company's Trade Compliance procedures and to bring up any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper.
  • Provide right market analysis in terms to help and lead the business strategy in Iberia.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven background in proactive selling; accounts, industries, EPC's and projects (10+ sales experience).
  • Good knowledge of all Emerson and/or our products and services.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Process control and software.
  • Industry knowledge and track record of achieving business objectives with enterprise clients in these environments are very advantageous.
  • Relationship building, communication, influencing, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, particularly workshop sessions and Consultative Selling skills.
  • Proactive and highenergy style
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Willingness to travel as much time as the business and people management requires throughout Spain and Portugal
