Grifols SA, a part of the Grifols group, is responsible for overseeing Global Procurement. This department manages supplier relationships on a global scale, encompassing three key areas: direct, indirect, and excellence. The Trainee will have the opportunity to support all areas, with a primary focus on the indirect sector.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Support in supplier research: Assisting in the identification and evaluation of potential global suppliers, researching their reputation, product quality, pricing, and more.
  • Assistance in contract negotiations: Engaging in the drafting and review of contracts with suppliers under the guidance of experienced staff.
  • Administrative support: Handling administrative tasks such as report preparation, document management, and file organization related to procurement.
  • Collaboration on special projects: Participation in specific procurement department projects, such as the implementation of new procurement management systems or process optimization.
  • Internal and external communication: Maintaining effective communication with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure efficient collaboration and timely issue resolution.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs): Contributing to monitoring and analyzing key procurement department KPIs, including delivery time, order accuracy, acquisition costs, and more.
  • Exploration of cost-saving opportunities: Assisting in identifying opportunities to reduce costs through negotiations with existing suppliers or sourcing more economical alternatives.
  • Contract management support: Aid in monitoring supplier contracts to ensure terms are met and handling any necessary modifications or renewals.
  • Collaboration in supplier relationship management: Engaging in the establishment and maintenance of strong supplier relationships, effective communication, and proactive conflict resolution.
  • Data analysis: Contributing to data analysis related to procurement activities using tools such as spreadsheets, databases, and specialized software to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Who You Are

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or Business Administration.
  • Willingness to commit to a 10-12 month internship, either part-time in the mornings or full-time.
  • Proficiency in English equivalent to C1 level.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel.
  • A proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a keen desire to learn.
