IDIBELL is looking for a Research Technician for the Nursing Research Group

About the research group

About the role

Monitoring and collection of data related to the WOMICS project, among other projects of the group, preparation, review and treatment of data linked to the electronic medical records of the participants and participation in the dissemination of the main results in the 11 participating centers (preparation of reports by units/services).


Helping to do statistical analysis, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence projects using big data, data warehouse systems and patient classification systems.


  • Database structure designs and data management
  • Cleaning, quality control and harmonization of clinical, sociodemographic, and patient classification system data
  • Keep datasets and scripts organized and documented
  • Prepare databases and codebooks
  • Participate and conduct statistical analyses
  • Make reports with the main data obtained

Education and training

  • CFGS related to Health Sciences (or similar), Health Documentation or Health Informatics
Technical & soft skills

  • Knowledge on statistics
  • Knowledge of general statistical packages (R, SPSS, and/or Stata)
  • Knowledge of big data and data management
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence
  • Programming and quantitative skills
Languages

  • Good command of the Catalan, Spanish and English languages

We will value, but not required

  • Degree in statistics, mathematics, data science, or health informatics
  • Experience in biomedical sciences
  • Knowledge in epidemiology or biomedical research

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).

The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine.
