Bunge is offering a great opportunity as an Industrial Controller in Barcelona. In this role, you will be in charge of overseeing the industrial controlling activities of the Spanish plant facilities, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and P&L determination. The Industrial Controller plays a key role in maintaining internal controls over assets such as inventory, fixed assets, and spare parts.

Main Accountabilities

  • Implement processes and procedures for inventory counts
  • Monitor and reconcile weighing systems and SAP records
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls
  • Coordinate PTP processes execution
  • Evaluate spare parts inventory controls
  • Collaborate with Global Insurance on stocks and claims
  • Analyze and update standard costs
  • Reconcile forecast and actual P&L
  • Review physical inventory value quarterly
  • Provide financial information to Global Controlling
  • Classify between CAPEX and OPEX
  • Validate approvals for CAPEX projects
  • Ensure proper asset classification and useful lives determination
  • Identify lease obligations and evaluate impairment indicators
  • Conduct fixed asset counts and impairments/write-offs

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics required. Master's degree a plus. Around 5 years of experience in accounting / controlling, especially in cost accounting within agricultural or food companies. Limited travel required (up to 10%).
