EXO TECHNICAL PACKAGING TECHNICIAN

ROLE AND DEPARTMENT


The role of the Technical Packaging Technician is to develop and execute primary/secondary/tertiary packaging components (depending on project needs) and create, maintain and administer associated packaging specifications to enable production at Third Party Manufacturers to Coty's standards.


The role supports new initiatives and ensures ongoing production across our portfolio, with a focus on improving the quality and cost and sustainability of these products.


Operating within Coty's technical specification system (Prosper), and defined packaging development processes, the role will also liaise with R&D Packaging to ensure fit-for-use packaging and specifications are available, whilst engaging with multiple functions to input into the SAP Master data process.


THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Create technical specifications in collaboration with Research & Development Packaging.
  • Primary and Secondary packaging development for new product launches (when not covered by R&D packaging).
  • Create direct input into the system Material Master Data (MMD-MDG SAP) enrichment.
  • Actively participate in project review meetings and technical meetings with the suppliers and TPMs.
  • Involvement in trials at the suppliers and TPMs to qualify and validate production runs.
  • Identifying and owning improvement projects within the department.
  • Contribute to the sustainability roadmap.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING


Proactive, creative, enthusiastic, and motivated technical graduate looking for the first experience within a fast-moving, multi-national and multi-cultural beauty company.


Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in packaging/engineering/design or similar technical vocation.
  • Fluent in English language: speaking, reading, writing.
  • Techsavvy, competency to learn and operate within proprietary webbased database systems and with Microsoft Office software: Excel/Outlook/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in packaging roles is a plus preferred 6 months of experience.
  • Basic understanding of packaging technologies; cartons/glass/plastics/Alu, etc...

Desirable:

  • Experience working in SAP system;
  • Basic understanding of Industrial standard ISO/AQL criteria
  • Solidworks, Illustrator and AutoCAD will be a plus.
  • Good command, knowledge of French
