ArcelorMittal Sestao is looking for a Manager for Continuous Casting.

He/she will be responsible for the daily management of the transformation process from liquid steel to slab, guaranteeing conformity with product requirements, in accordance with the strategic objectives of the company, as well as the maintenance operations.

He is responsible for the people who work in shifts at CC, both from the point of view of Production as of Maintenance, and the installations.

Team is made by 30 pax aprox. There is a constant contact with transversal members of the organization across the world.

Activities

• Piloting and defining main KPIs.
• Daily follow the production process of transformation.
• Define the needs, criteria and collection of materials, refractories, powders and others, for optimal exploitation.
• Approve the different refrigeration plans, tundish and mold metallurgy.
• Maintain production facilities in adequate conditions taking as reference the methodologies and tools in force in the company.
• Carry out the controls of the defined process variables, communicating to Hot Strip Mill the observed deviations, and taking the necessary actions to eliminate the basic causes that motivated the actual and/or potential nonconformity of the manufactured products, both from the point of view of Risk Prevention Labor, Environmental, Corporate Responsibility and/or Quality.
• Collaborate in the review of the Casting Stantard Operating Practices.
• Manage the human team of Continuous Casting Maintenance in Safety, Quality, Term and Cost.
• Lead the monthly meeting on Safety and Health of Continuous Casting.
• Supervise that all incidents are communicated, analyzed on the spot and actions are taken to avoid its repetition.

Minimum applicant attributes

Education:Master

• Engineering in Metalurgic, Mechanic, Electrical or Organization.

Experience:5 years in production managing departments in siderurgic or metalurgic companies.

Languages:High level in English and Spanish.

Background:

• Knowledge of the steel process.
• Metallurgical knowledge.
• Knowledge of the transformation of liquid steel to slab.
