You'll be part of our Predictive AI & Data department within the Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences (CPSS) function. In this role, you'll team up with CPSS scientists and collaborate across R&D therapeutic area units in different global locations to support the development of safe and effective therapeutic drug candidates. By utilizing computational methods, you'll uncover biological insights, enhance computational capabilities, and lead efforts to advance the understanding of drug safety and efficacy, expediting the creation of innovative therapeutic drugs for patients in need. It's a rare opportunity to gain expertise in diverse computational approaches, collaborate with industry experts, publish, and contribute directly to the future of medicine across various diseases.


Accountabilities:
  • Develop in silico capabilities to advance multi-omics technologies for discovering novel mechanisms of action
  • Drive hypothesis generation through computational biology approaches and data integration
  • Implement predictive capabilities using computational biology to enhance omics data interpretations for safety predictions
  • Collaborate with academic groups, secure external grants, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications
  • Provide training on omics data interpretation and support junior staff members

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • PhD in computational biosciences preferred; MSc with experience in high-throughput omics data considered
  • Extensive experience in various omics data types such as transcriptomics and proteomics
  • Expertise in developing predictive safety models for organs like liver, heart, kidney, or lung
  • Strong programming skills in R or Python and proficiency in data science techniques
  • Ability to lead collaborative teams and communicate complex topics effectively
  • Previous experience in biopharmaceutical industry and understanding of drug development
  • Effective communication skills in English

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Background in computational toxicology and molecular mechanisms of disease
  • Knowledge of drug discovery and pharmaceutical development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
