We're seeking a talented and experienced Project Director to lead the operational side of Carrots Lab, managing our squads that handle the development of our diverse mobile app portfolio. This strategic role reports directly to a C-Level executive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Project Director at Carrots Lab, you'll play a strategic role in ensuring the effective management and operation of our mobile app development teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage squads consisting of developers, UX/UI designers, product analysts, and product owners.
  • Guide the development and maintenance of our mobile apps, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the operational team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and project outcomes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational matters, reporting directly to senior management.
  • Ensure alignment of squad goals with company objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and practices.
  • Serve as a Product Owner, deeply understanding the product, market, and user needs.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and processes, acting as a Scrum Master to ensure effective team collaboration and Agile practice adherence.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role (direct reports).
  • 5+ years of proven experience in the mobile app industry.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with cross-functional teams.

NICE TO HAVE

While not mandatory, the following qualities would be advantageous for this role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in app development (Flutter, Swift, or ) or app management (CSM, PSM, CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP, SA, or ICP).
  • Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with software development tools and platforms commonly used in mobile app development (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio, Git).
  • Product Lifecycle Understanding: Experience serving as a Product Owner, with a strong understanding of product lifecycle and user-centered design.
