Job Responsibilities:
Operating the various components part of the "Compass Corporate" environments.
Improve the reliability and availability of the platform.
Monitor and proactively address the potential issues of the platform.
Provision of expert advice and assistance on the installation, configuration and tuning of tools and platforms required for the "Compass Corporate" microservices based infrastructure.
These include:
Kafka, Prometheus, Camunda, Grafana, Elastic Search, Zookeeper, Rundeck , Ansible, Redis.
Provision of expert advice on the best use of container platforms such as PKS / Tanzu / TKGI.Configuration of automated deployment of new versions of applications.
This could be to microservice-based platforms running on the "on-prem cloud " using PKS containers.Configuration of automation and configuration management tools such as Rundeck and Ansible.
Configuration of container platforms such as PKS.
- Linux systems administration tasks and scripting.
Manage backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or other major disruption.
Identify potential security vulnerabilities or compliance issues and implement measures to mitigate those risks.Responde to and resolve technology-related incidents and service requests, including troubleshooting issues and escalate problems as necessary.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as data privacy regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and ITIL best practicesApply best practices of distributed architecture to solve complex integration problems between information systems and K8s microservices.
Configure the lifecycle of the microservices in a container-based infrastructure.Define and configure monitoring dashboards.
Define and configure the alerting policies for the operation team.
Collaborate with team members for operations support.
Maintain performance of applications and databases.
Document and provide training on the procedures in place.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:
Strong foundation in microservices and Spring Boot infrastructure.
Proficient in container platforms, especially PKS/Kubernetes.
Skilled in cloud-based application architecture and related concepts.
Experienced with monitoring systems such as Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK (Kibana), Splunk, and Prometheus.
Knowledgeable in application security tools, notably Fortify.
Adept in application lifecycle management tools, including Github, Gitlab, BitBucket, Jenkins, Digital AI (XLRelease, XLDeploy, ArgoCD), and Nexus Container.
Proficient in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python, and Shell script.
Solid experience in software development, particularly in information system integration architecture across various platforms and architectures.
Familiarity with the ELK stack.
Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
Expertise in IT integration projects, with a focus on defining business and system integration requirements.
Experience in designing and implementing microservices and event-driven architectures.
Understanding of middleware integration platforms.
Capable of monitoring and coordinating a portfolio of software reusable components, including the design, implementation, and monitoring of service KPIs and SLAs.
