We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our LOC Engineering, Games-Tech Team. This team handles the development and maintenance of tools or in-game technology to facilitate the localization and internationalization of games into 20 languages or more, collaborating closely with top Game Studios like EA Sports, DICE, Bioware, Codemasters, Criterion, and more.

What you will do as a Software Engineer at EA

You will primarily work on adapting and customizing game content, particularly user interfaces, into different languages to deliver authentic experiences for players worldwide. Additionally, you will investigate and troubleshoot code or assets to identify issues.

You will be part of the Loc Engineering, Games-Tech Team.

The ideal Software Engineer must also have:

  • University Degree (BSc) in Software Engineering or equivalent academic background
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in developing C++/C# games (experience in AAA titles is advantageous)
  • Knowledge of video game development and engines (Good understanding of at least one of the following: Unreal Engine, Unity)
  • Familiarity with development environments (Visual Studio)
  • Strong Software Engineering skills (OOP, Code Quality, Debugging, and Version Control) and proficiency in programming languages (C++ and C#)
  • Effective debugging abilities and proficiency in reading complex code
  • Experience in Agile environments is beneficial (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Solid teamwork mindset
  • Passion for solving complex and engaging problems
