Your mission, should you choose to accept it


As a Hotel Opening Manager, you will play a vital role in the growth of The Social Hub across Europe by delivering new hotels in line with company standards.

You will be responsible to liaise with our Real Estate team to ensure the project is in line with operational needs by giving input in a timely manner and participating in sign-offs.

As part of the role you will be also the link to other departments such as performance, digital marketing, finance, legal, and others to ensure all key stakeholders are informed on the progress of the project and resources from each team are planned accordingly to deliver a fully operational new hotel.

The role is based in Barcelona where you will be part of a multiskilled department, reporting directly to the Director of Hotel Openings, Quality & Procurement.

What You'll Do:

  • You'll set a strategic plan for the hotel opening
  • What needs to happen when & who is involved in the development, preopening, and soft opening phase.
  • You'll prepare, schedule, and inform supporting departments in a timely manner on specific developments.
  • You'll activate Procurement & Control budget and tender management where needed
  • You review the operational processes and procedures of the hotels to maintain a high level of brand standards and to monitor companies' values
  • You'll build strong support ethically and encourage balanced relationships with all stakeholders
  • You'll be involved in hiring and selecting the hotel manager and the team
  • You'll coach and support the appointed hotel manager and assist in the startup of the new hotel.
  • You'll prepare and submit timely summaries of performance. Ensure that all other reports are prepared and received in a timely manner. Follow up on outstanding topics.

Who You Are:

  • You have hotel general management experience
  • You have 35 years of experience and experience in preopening would be a bonus
  • You can speak English and a second language (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) is a must any other would be a plus
  • You know how to work on Office 365, project management tools
  • You'll be leading diverse teams and problemsolving
