VFX Artist

We are excited to announce a job opportunity at Forgotten Empires, a creative and passionate full-service game developer focused on Windows PC games, currently part of Keywords Studios.

We are seeking an experienced VFX Artist to join our diverse team of 90+ talented individuals from around the world. As a VFX Artist with us, you will have the opportunity to use your exceptional real-time effect skills to bring our games to life.

Check out the exciting responsibilities:

• Execute outstanding and dramatic effects for our games.
• Create a variety of visual effects including FX concept, proto, and final FX.
• Demonstrate expertise in a range of visual effect styles.
• Ensure smooth asset export and implementation into different engines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain quality assurance and troubleshoot when necessary.

Requirements:

Required

• A strong portfolio/demo reel demonstrating proficiency in creating real-time visual effects for video games (**submission required**)
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in real-time VFX for gaming
• Proficiency with game industry-standard art and engine tools
• Keen eye for timing, animation, motion, physics, and art pipeline in game engines
• Conversational and written English skills at B2-C1 level

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience in Houdini and/or PopcornFX
• Background in Destruction VFX
• Strong technical art skills
• Professional VFX or personal player experience with strategy games

Location: Must be local to Málaga, Spain, or work remotely from the UK/EU (EU time zones required).
