Position Overview
Lear is looking for a Technical Role with 4-7 years of experience and/or academic background in hardware design, development and testing high
- voltage electronic products for EV/HEV vehicles. The position is focused on the development of Battery Disconnection Units (BDUs) including switchable devices (HV Contactors/Relays), Protections (Fuses and Pyrofuses) and electronic sensing components/circuits.
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)
- Design and verification of Battery Disconnection Units (BDUs) for EVs both for 400V and 800V batteries with knowledge of HV Contactors, Protective Devices (HV Fuses, Pyrofuses), analog/digital circuits, semiconductors, MCUbased designs, and digital communication buses (CAN, SPI, ISO-SPI, Eth, etc).
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into a hardware design.
- Components selection, interacting with key suppliers from the generation of internal specifications till verification of the components' final performance.
- Implement electrical safety design according to industry standards for 400V and 800V highvoltage products design (IEC60664, IEC60950, UL840,).
- Implement EMC design rules (including EMI filters), both at schematic and PCB level.
- Deliver verified robust designs using standard simulation tools (Matlab, PSIM, PSpice, ).
- Testing and Failure Analysis of parts following problemsolving methods.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in an Electrical or Electronics Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
- Fluent English is a must
- Hardware design & testing profile.
- Background or experience in design of highvoltage products V).
- Handson experience in laboratory environment (oscilloscope, programmable supplies and loads, LCRs, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Experience with working in automotive field would be a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and be a team player.
- Interest on learning about product development as part of a crossfunctional team.
