Job Description:

Working in Risk
As part of our growth strategy, Statkraft is expanding its Origination activities across Europe.


Currently, we have long-term renewable energy portfolios of third-party contracts in various European markets consisting of tailor-made Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with generators and long-term sales contracts to large end customers.

As well as other non-standard flexible and structured wholesale products.

Your role
As a Market Risk Analyst (M/F/d) and as part of Statkraft's Risk Management team you will work on an independent assessment of Statkraft's Origination and Market Access portfolios in Continental Europe

This includes in particular:

  • Regular report on P&L and risks of the origination portfolio
  • Studying the fundamentals of energy markets in which we operate
  • Supporting our risk evaluation of transactions and deal structures prior to deal closure
  • Contributing to the improvement of our risk analysis tool kit for renewable energy assets by means of Python

Qualifications:

We look for a Market Risk Analyst with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions

That includes:

  • Advanced university degree in a quantitative discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or Statistics
  • Programming experience (e.g. Python, Matlab or R)
  • Proactive team player with integrity and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and confident approach towards stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
