YOUR MISSION

As a Web Developer in the Courier team at Glovo, you'll be in charge of the backend and frontend of the web platform, along with its content. Your role is vital in ensuring our web presence is optimized for performance, enhancing the courier experience, and maintaining relevant content. THE PATH

  • Develop and manage the backend infrastructure of the web platform for scalability, reliability, and security
  • Introduce new features and functionalities based on business needs and user input
  • Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces for the web platform using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
  • Enhance content for search engines (SEO) to boost visibility and drive organic traffic
  • Curate and update web platform content for accuracy, relevance, and freshness
  • Track web performance metrics like page load times, conversion rates, and bounce rates
  • Offer technical support to internal teams and external users, addressing web platform-related issues
  • Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and technical problems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless user experience
  • Collaborate closely with the IT team to resolve infrastructure-related issues and implement solutions

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE JOURNEY

  • Demonstrated expertise in WordPress development and customization, with skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferably around 2 years of experience)
  • Sound understanding of web hosting environments, cPanel management, and server administration
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), especially WordPress, and knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks based on business impact
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the aptitude to work cross-functionally and engage with diverse teams
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (C level) is a must
