Role Overview:
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that is able to work in a very fast moving, energised and dynamic environment and is able to think on their feet.

Role Responsibilities:
- To support the desk's Bond strategy initiatives (figure head for clients within Scandinavia and wider EU / UK).
- Speaking to clients to develop and generate business within Fixed Income products.
- Executing trades on behalf of UK based brokers.
- Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.
- Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
- Promote TP ICAP Group.
- Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems.
- Keep trade records up to date.
- Update realtime systems with current market data / activity.
- Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.
- Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
Experience / Competencies:
- Working knowledge and experience of Fixed Income products is desired. Other asset classes can be considered (e.g. Swaps, Fx., Options etc.).
- Demonstrated experience working independently as part of a wider team set up.
- Comprehensive understanding of the markets and economy and can develop personal views.
- Previous experience using Bloomberg would be beneficial.
- Able to demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach.
- Demonstrated and proven customer focus.
- Ability to work effectively with others both verbally and electronically. Can adapt communication style to suit audience.
- Handles situations and problems with innovation and creativity.
- Shows evidence of being comfortable working in fast paced or pressured environments.
- Keeps emotions under control in difficult situations.
- Handles criticism constructively.
- Works ethically and shows respect for both professional and company values.
