About the job

As a Forecasting Expert in our Global Supply Chain Management Department (SCM) at RHI Magnesita, you will report directly to the Head of Forecasting.

In this role, you will be responsible for all quantitative statistical forecasting matters. You will mainly be involved in the calculation of our sales, supply, and inventories.

Currently, we do all our calculations with software packages such as SAS, but our future plan in the next two years is to migrate over to 09.

In addition, your tasks will include

• Maintaining and further developing existing forecast engines and bringing them from SAS to O
• Close collaboration and communication with our different planning and business intelligence teams
• Explaining Forecast Results

What we expect from you in terms of

Education, knowledge & skills

• A master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar fields of relevance
• Basic knowledge of SCM is beneficial

Languages

• English
• Proficient/Fluent
• Any other language will be considered an asset

Work Experience

• Several years of relevant working experience
• Experience using and handling bigger data sets from multiple sources, managing outliers, and cleansing data with high reliability
• Experience of handling any software based forecasting tool is a minimum. Like o9, i2, SAS or Arkieva etc
• Largescale data & project management experience is essential
