Exciting Opportunity: Senior iOS Developer

Location: Madrid - Work onsite 4 days a week

Role Overview:

This new role in the Ebury Technology team offers a great opportunity to lead the development of our iOS Mobile app right from the start.

Being part of this early-stage project allows you to create a groundbreaking mobile experience with full ownership, shaping Ebury's mobile presence from the beginning.

You will collaborate with industry-standard tools and technologies, playing a key role in defining the standards for our mobile applications.

As a Mobile engineer, you will work closely with a small, independent product squad, including Backend Engineers, API Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers.

Your direct report will be an engineering manager who will have weekly 1:1 meetings with you, focusing on your personal development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support overall company and Digital objectives.
  • Take ownership of the existing iOS app code base with the freedom to enhance the current features.
  • Provide guidance and training to a junior developer.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to experiment and enhance customer experiences through new app functionalities.
  • Stay updated on the latest mobile development practices and tools.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Ensure high code quality, organization, and automation.

Requirements:

  • ( years of) Demonstrated experience in software development with a robust portfolio of released iOS applications.
  • Proficiency in Swift and familiarity with UIKit and Cocoa Touch.
  • Experience with Combine architecture.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs for backend connections.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX standards and other web technologies.
  • Understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
  • Strong emphasis on code quality and testing, experience with Bitrise pipelines, and scalable app development.
  • Proficiency in UI optimization and application monitoring for performance improvement.
  • Appreciation of security measures.
  • Advantageous to have experience in Financial Services or FinTech.
  • Capable of reviewing and enhancing others' code.
  • Proactive in sharing innovative ideas and fostering team improvement.
