JOB PURPOSE
To partner with the Country Director, Country Manager and local ops management team to support and deliver the people strategy in line with the overall country and Operations Plan.
Requirements of the Role
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy
- Development and delivery of a people plan for respective Country which is aligned with the overall People strategy, People Plan and Country Plan and Ops Plan. Work with H89 team to understand functional priorities to ensure they are reflected in the country HR plan.
- Support the Country Director, Country Manager and local Operational management team to deliver short and long term objectives, attending key operational management meetings as required.
Performance Management
- Support Country team to drive a high performance culture to improve the service delivery for our customers through proactive management, effective performance management and coaching.
- Lead and develop the HR team in country to deliver the HR plan, working with H89 HR team where required.
- Management and development of HR Advisor in country.
Employee Relations (ER)
- Lead and support the country employee relations agenda within easyJet ER strategies including collective bargaining negotiations and managing employee legal cases if needed.
- Working proactively with in country existing union groups and employee representative bodies including works councils and health and safety (where applicable)
- Ensure that time frames are met both as set by law, by agreement and by easyJet ER strategy
- Drive and coordinate the mandating process for pay negotiations
- Own the approach to employee consultation and engagement to ensure our people are appropriately involved and informed on business decisions which affect them
Recruitment
- Ensure a robust resource plan is in place to deliver country people plan
- Headcount management including partnering with the recruitment team as required to deliver headcount requirements.
Talent and Succession Planning
- Support the leadership/ management teams to build a succession and talent pipeline for critical roles and encourage cross functional internal moves to build breath of experience.
Reward
- Work alongside the Head of Reward to deliver the reward agenda for the specified functional areas ensuring relevant benchmark data is in place and the annual pay cycle is implemented effectively
- Keep track of and obtain from publicly available sources (complying with the law) information about competitor pay, increases and terms of employment.
Learning & Career Development
- Highlight L&D requirements for country and market and work with Head of Organisational Performance and Development to identify approach on how best to achieve and implement
- Provide light touch learning and development interventions to support career development in functional areas for both current and future business needs
Organisational Development and Culture
- Provide OD advice to ensure any organisations are optimised, implemented correctly and integrated successfully.
- Partnering with the client area to develop an engagement and recognition plan to enhance communication and motivation within the employee area
- Be a leader by example displaying the easyJet values and cultural behaviour we wish others to demonstrate
- Demonstrate inclusive and fair behaviours spending time informally in the crew room with crew
