CITRE, based in Seville, Spain, is Bristol Myers Squibb's research institute in Europe, and our link to the European research community.
Areas of research include computational and network biology, machine/deep learning, cheminformatics, predictive modeling, patient stratification, and method development for analysis and interpretation of biological data.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and collaborative
Senior Scientist, Predictive Molecular Research to join us in facing challenging scientific problems head-on and demonstrating how computational research can transform the lives of patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at the interface between biology, chemistry and machine learning to advance the discovery novel therapeutic targets and/or smallmolecule compounds
- Design and implement leadingedge predictive and generative deep learning approaches to accelerate early drug discovery effort
- Contribute to the elucidation of key features and mechanisms that drive the properties of proteindegrading molecules and their interactions with targets through structural modeling and molecular docking analyses
- Collaborate as a member of crossfunctional teams in multiple locations to design experiments, guide data generation, and validate _in silico_ findings
- Develop and deploy simple analytical tools to assist project scientists in their investigational workflows.
Requirements:
- PhD in bioinformatics, biophysics, computer science or related fields accompanied by original research publications.
- Working knowledge of data processing and machine learning libraries in python/R (pandas, sklearn, tensorflow, PyTorch, etc)
- Familiarity with early drug discovery processes
- Attention to detail and capacity to communicate technical/scientific concepts clearly and concisely to audiences of varied backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Verbal and written English language fluency
