Qualifications
Degree in Economics or related Máster Profesorado Secundaria or CAP MEd or MA (desirable)ExperienceA minimum of 2 years' experience of teaching Economics and Business Management in the Spanish CV.Experience of teaching mixed-ability classes and EAL students in mainstream classesInternational experience (desirable)High level of English and SpanishAttitudes and AttributesFlexible and adaptableHard working and willing to do extra where requiredStrongly team-motivatedAble to differentiate effectively for different levels of abilityCommitted to open dialogue with colleagues, pupils and parents An ability to adjust to life in SpainAn interest in learning Spanish (a good level of Spanish is an advantage)Contract and BenefitsFull-time permanent contract, with a four-month trial periodSocial Security paid, ensuring state medical coverMoving expenses of 1,000 euros gross, paid at the end of September (overseas candidates)Travel expenses up to a maximum of 250 euros - receipts required (overseas candidates)Assistance given (if required), with finding accommodation, registering with a doctor, official paperwork, opening a bank account190 working days per academic yearChristmas holidays: 18-20 daysEaster holidays: 10 daysSummer holidays: 30th June - 31st AugustLocal, national and holidays chosen by the school: 12 days totalLunches provided free of chargeSalaryCompetitive salary Start date September 2024Class tutors are paid an extra 1.750€ per annum (gross salary) if this role is undertaken after the first year of employment at Oak House SchoolThere is a possible leadership role.Other relevant informationOak House School is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of the students in our care and equal opportunities.
