In the paper making process, the optimization of the chemicals that are added to the pulp is key in terms of cost reduction while keeping the quality of the paper.
This position will be related to this optimization process in Saica Paper Mills.In the corrugated board manufacturing, the chemicals are introduced in the corrugator as first step in the process. Optimize this process may be crucial in terms of cost and quality. This position will be also related to this process in Saica Pack plants.
To know and analyse, at laboratory level, the chemicals in the processes and contact the different suppliers to gather technical information will be included in this position.
As a result, the collaboration between RDi and Purchase department in terms of chemicals purchases is intense and this position will act as an advisor.
Scope:
RDi projects at RDi Group department at El Burgo de Ebro and Saica Paper and Saica Pack sites with some trips of a few days when necessary.
ActivitiesIn general, RDi projects activities that involves activities both al laboratory level at RDi central laboratory at El Burgo de Ebro, and Saica Paper and Pack sites level.
Carrying out Laboratory activities including the planification of the test programmes with different analytical tests, the analysis of the data and the drawing of conclusions after it.
The preparation and support to trials at pilot and industrial scale.Activities related to the collaboration with suppliers such as technical meetings and trials preparation and assistance.
Reporting of all the activities and the preparation of specific presentations and reports.
The identification and management of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in the research and development of chemical products across various industries, specially will be valued experience in the paper industry.
Proven track record in designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and optimizing chemical formulations (such as coatings, additives, resin ...)Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative chemical solutions.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards related to the development and use of chemical products.
