BASIC FUNCTION:
The Digital Marketing Manager Paid Media, will join the ESI Digital Demand team to own and manage paid media performance and execution across EMEA.
SEM/PPC, Digital Display/Programmatic, Paid Social and Content Syndication/Affiliate management.
You'll be joining a high performing team of digital experts that have consistently driven year on year growth and will be a fundamental player in the ambitious growth plans for a global organisation.
This role reports to the EMEA Digital Director but will work very closely with the wider digital team, in particular the SEO and Digital Content Manager, regional and local marketing teams, performance media agency partners and the wider content and copywriting teams.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage paid channels to increase visibility in market and drive quality conversion
- Management of performance media agencies to budget and improvement of outcome and improvements in CPA/CPL
- Monitoring and reporting on performance of key channels at a platform level and through the marketing funnel
- Take a testandlearn approach to paid media management across channels, campaigns, content and destinations.
- Management of the performance media budget to effectively balance ROI across a blend of channels
- Holistic approach to paid media management to maximise impact and increase share of voice in the market
- Working with the web team, content teams, local marketers and agencies to develop and optimise effective ads, copy, and landing page experiences that drive conversion.
- Work with the marketing automation team to own the follow up on top of funnel marketing activity, deliver effective nurture and drive more engaged and sales ready conversations.
- Leverage performance media channels to deliver integrated and connected marketing programmes.
- Work with the wider ESI marketing team to advise and execute on local and global campaigns where necessary.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations in partnership with internal stakeholders
- Use of digital analytics and reporting platforms to measure success and performance.
- Work closely with the SEO lead and search agency to expand visibility of ADP websites and deliver a joinedup search engine marketing strategy
- Identify, setup and work with agency partners to launch into new channels and countries where necessary
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years' running or managing B2B paid media activation, including SEM/PPC and Paid Social
- Working with SEO teams on a joinedup strategy for search to maximise impact and share of voice in market
- Experience working on cost per lead initiatives/content syndication programmes and connecting lead gen activity to broader marketing activation and sales followup
- Track record of using paid media to drive improvements in conversion and sales opportunities
- Deep understanding of B2B performance marketing channel selection and activation
- Demonstrable experience of managing performance media agencies to time, outcome, and budget
- Demonstrable knowledge/experience of 'owning the follow up' and tracking the ROI and performance of marketing activity through the sales process
- Strongly analytical, with a focus on the numbers and the detail
- Demonstrable experience of managing and optimising paid media activation across geographies and languages.
- Naturally inquisitive and always asking 'so what?' to deliver the best possible outcome
- Working knowledge of using Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, and the Google ecosystem of reporting platforms (Analytics, Data Studio etc.)
- Demonstrable experience of running tests and experiments to maximum reportable effect
- Experience and knowledge of digital marketing attribution and testing frameworks
- Experience with using Salesforce reporting is advantageous
- Knowledge or experience working as part of agile teams or running agile projects would be an advantage but not required
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects on tight deadlines and driving meaningful results
- International business experience is a definite plus. Exposure to working in large, global organizations would be useful
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders inside and outside of the company (e.g. vendor and agency negotiations & management)
- Knowledge of the HCM/HR/Payroll market would be an advantage but not a requirement
